Seats

I’ve provided some of my top picks for aftermarket seat options, here. I’ve always prioritized performance over comfort and glamour, so be aware that these choices were largely chosen with weight saving and cost-effectiveness in mind. These may not be the most comfortable or pretty options available, but I think they are good choices for what they are designed to do — provide good quality, weight saving, race-car-style seating without breaking the bank so that you have more money to spend on other areas of your build (for me, under the hood).

These bucket racing seats look good and are fully functional. They are adjustable and they come in both fabric and PVC leather variances. They also come in several color schemes and are advertised as weighing only 20 lbs. I’ve never had this particular brand, but I have a very similar style seat in my 1983 Chevy C10 Silverado on the drivers side and I am pleased with it (the specific one I have appears to have been discontinued). For the price, these seats are a good option if you’re looking to add an aggressive look to your interior and want to save a little weight while you’re at it. They also give you the option of adding five-point harnesses if you ever plan to take your truck to the track. Note that they do not come with mounting brackets and they may require some minor modifications depending on what you’re putting them in.
