Steering Wheels

Below are some of my top picks for steering wheels – some I have personally own while other’s I’ve only researched and determined that, if I were shopping for a new steering wheel, I would consider it based on its appearance and how well it appears to be made. Note that I have picked out these steering wheels as my top choices with classic GM trucks in mind. These may fit a larger variety of vehicles, but you should always double check that they are compatible with your specific application before ordering. Some of them may also require additional hardware than is shown on this page, so double check that as well.

If you’re looking for a high quality, chrome steering wheel that will provide an awesome classic look for your truck, this Grant Classic Steering Wheel is a great choice. I’ve had the 11 1/2″ version of this steering wheel in my 1983 Chevy c10 for over 10 years, and it still looks great. The extra thick vinyl foam grip is very sturdy and provides a nice feel. This wheel will fit many different applications, but it will require the proper installation kit so make sure you get the correct kit for your application.

I’ve never personally owned one of these steering wheels, but after running across it while gathering the specs for the Grant wheel I have, listed above, I thought this one looked pretty nice. It’s a bit more expensive than the Grant steering wheel. But it does look nice, and you can get it in various grip color options. You can check it out for yourself.

If you’re looking for something unique, this steering wheel is definitely that. This wheel is available with several different centerpieces, including the Chevy bowtie (as shown), the Forever Sharp logo,  GMC Retro, and SS. You can also choose from multiple grip colors (carbon fiber shown). Again, I’ve never personally owned this one, but it is certainly one I would consider if I were shopping for a new one. Check it out for yourself by clicking the button below the image.

5 & 6 Hole Billet Steering Wheel Adapter

Note that you may need a steering wheel adapter when installing any of these steering wheels. Here is 5 & 6 hole adapter that is advertised to be compatible with most 1969-1994 Chevrolet models. But always double check the specs for your specific application before you order.
