Anytime you’re dealing with a classic truck or any modified vehicle, really, you’re going to be needing some tools and equipment. Below you’ll find some tools I’ve found extremely helpful dealing with my old truck.
These portable air compressors can be a life saver. They are light, compact, and plug right up to your truck’s auxiliary power outlet (often referred to as the “cigarette lighter”). I have this particular one and it has been a good product. The built-in digital pressure gauge is also accurate on mine. These are great to have in your truck in case you have a flat, but they’re also very handy if you have performance tires such as drag radials that perform at lower PSI but need more pressure for normal driving. Now you can drive your truck to the track, drop a few PSI to race, then air the tires back up before heading home.
